CAREER IN THE ARTS - TRAINING PROGRAM IN MULTI-MEDIA ARTS FOR YOUTH AGES 16 THRU 21

STAND UP FOR THE ARTS

Stand Up for the Arts was developed to meet the needs of students in the Camden School District’s Instructional support programs. Stand Up For the Arts actively involves students in a comprehensive, sequential training curriculum that includes creating, collaboration, performing, and producing a tangible product through the art forms of music, dance, drama, poetry, script writing, graphic arts, costume design, and the technical skills of video production, audio engineering, and set design.

CITY KIDS MULTIMEDIA, ARTS PRODUCTION COMPANY

City Kids Productions is designed to instruct students on the proper techniques in operating video equipment. The students will be engaged in production, video taping all programming and editing the materials for a final video product. Our mission is to give interested students an opportunity in the technical field, from which this experience will open up access into possible employment or entrepreneurship.  This is also a medium for youth expression - an opportunity for claiming their voice.

JAZZ STUDIES PROGRAM - MUSIC BY THE SEA SUMMER JAZZ CAMP

The jazz camp is an initiative that gives up and coming musicians an opportunity to display their love for jazz. Our program is designed to encourage campers to study jazz techniques including improvisation, and to produce and develop new styles for the art form. Our highly trained staff have studied and worked under some of the greatest musicians in the business. Our program consists of students from junior high School through college. The campers are exposed to icons of jazz and are given the opportunity to play for them at the Chicken Bone Beach Jazz Festival, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Education reforms that emphasize achievement in math and reading and drastic budget cuts are squeezing arts education out of school curricula around the country. News stories from across the country tell this tale of dwindling arts budgets and program downsizing. After-school arts programs are essential to filling this gap in education.

SATURDAY CREATION PROGRAM

Classes will be held on Saturdays only from 9am to 12pm. The Creation Station will include Courses in painting and drawing, hip hop dance, digital photography, comic book drawing, Graphic design, praise dancing, chess and much more. The courses will be for a specified time Period, usually four weeks. After the course ends each month will feature a different series of Art courses to take.
