BOARD MEMBERS

The Institute for the Development of Education in the Arts is governed by a board of directors and an advisory board. At the present time we are in a transitional period where our focus is on recruiting a new board for the purpose of serving as a fundraising mechanism for the continued development of the organization. 
The current board appointments are,

IDEA  is governed by a Board of Directors: Directors who represent the arts, community, business and technology in the greater Camden Community. The Board has seven standing committees: 

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:  Chaired by the Chairperson of the IDEA Board of Directors, the Executive Committee is empowered to act on behalf of the Board when the Board is not in session.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE: Chaired by the President the Nominating Committee is responsible for soliciting and recommending new at-large Board members.
FACILITIES COMMITTEE: Chaired by Board member the Facilities Committee is responsible to monitor and advise on developing operating policies and procedures for the Performing Arts Center, make recommendations with respect to equipment, and provide oversight of all facility management matters performed by IDEA staff.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Chaired by Board member, Program Committee is responsible for developing policies and plans with respect to the programs, events, activities and services offered at the Performing Arts Center, including liaison with arts groups expected to be users of the facility. It will propose schedules of rates, fees and terms to be charged to users of the facility.
FINANCE COMMITTEE: Chaired by the Treasurer, the Finance Committee provides oversight and review of budgetary, financial and fiscal matters. It prepares an annual budget and a statement of income and expenditures for the Annual Meeting of the Institute.
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: Chaired by Board member, the Development Committee guides the fundraising efforts of the Institute.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Chaired by Board member the Communications Committee is responsible for informing and educating the public about the activities of the Foundation, and promoting the programs of the Foundation. (Marketing, Public Relations)
